Islami on the Recak massacre: Serbia constantly tries to distort the facts and evidence
Security sciences professor Avni Islami says that Serbia is constantly trying to distort the facts and evidence that prove the genocide that Serbian forces and paramilitaries committed in Recak. He tells KosovaPress that not long ago, Albanian agents were arrested who had tried to fabricate false evidence for this massacre.Islami said that the Recak massacre was a call and awareness for the international community for the crimes that were being committed in Kosovo during the 1998-99 war.In 2024, two people were arrested, Bedri Shabani and Muharrem Qerimi, who are suspected of having collaborated with the Serbian BIA. KosovaPress had learned that their arrest was made possible after the discovery by the Kosovo Intelligence Agency.A day after their arrest, the Kosovo Police had conducted raids on the properties of the two suspects where various documents, computers, phones, USBs, DVRs, tapes, weapons and ammunition, masks and military gas masks were found and seized as material evidence.
