French Ambassador to Kosovo Olivier Guerot has expressed France’s support for Kosovo in organizing the Mediterranean Games, describing the event as an important opportunity to promote the country on the international stage.

Guérot said that France is ready to share its experience with Kosovo and assist in the organization of this major sporting event.

He emphasized that, although these will be Kosovo’s Games, France is willing to share its experience in organizing large-scale sporting events, referring to the success of hosting the Olympic Games.

“We are ready to support Kosovo in organizing the Mediterranean Games. This will be a very good opportunity for Kosovo to present itself to the rest of the world and to build its own branding. These will be Kosovo’s Games, but we are ready to share our experience with them, with Kosovo, because we have also hosted the Olympic Games, which were a success. We are ready to work to support Kosovo,” said Guerot.

Kosovo will be the host of the 2030 Mediterranean Games, the largest sporting event ever organized in the country. The competitions will take place in Prishtina and several other cities, while their organization is expected to be accompanied by significant investments in sports infrastructure and the international promotion of Kosovo.
