A well-known Turkish otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery specialist from Bursa, Ibrahim Hizalan, has praised the importance of the 14th Balkan Congress of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, stressing that such meetings contribute to strengthening professional and scientific cooperation among specialists in the region.

The Turkish specialist said that during the congress he will deliver two scientific lectures on different topics.

“I believe this cooperation brings us not only friendship, but also an exchange of ideas and scientific development. During this congress I will give two lectures. One is about otosclerosis, its advanced cases, patients who no longer hear at all, and how they can be treated, either through surgery or rehabilitation. The second lecture is about tympanic membrane retractions, how they are treated and managed,” he said.

According to him, the congress also provides an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in medicine through well-known international companies presenting new technologies and products.

“I think we have around 200 speakers from about 10 to 15 countries, from Balkan countries and also from outside the region. This is a high-quality scientific meeting. We also have very well-known sponsoring companies, where we can see and explore the latest developments in global medicine,” he said.
