On the occasion of the start of Voluntary Blood Donation Week, Kosovo's Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the National Blood Transfusion Center, has launched awareness-raising activities as part of this humanitarian campaign.

This week aims to raise citizens’ awareness of the vital importance of blood donation, a humanitarian act that saves lives and helps patients in need of transfusions across the country.

As part of the activities, dozens of employees of the Ministry of Health have joined the initiative by voluntarily donating blood, with the aim of ensuring sufficient reserves for healthcare institutions.

The Ministry of Health and the National Blood Transfusion Center emphasize that voluntary blood donation remains the safest and most sustainable source of blood and blood products for the healthcare system.

The MoH and the NBTC have also called on citizens to join this humanitarian initiative, stressing that a single donation can save multiple lives and have a direct impact on the treatment of patients in need.
