Head and neck surgery specialist Alfred Aga has emphasized the importance of scientific congresses for exchanging experience and gaining knowledge about the latest developments in the field of medicine.

While participating as a speaker at the 14th Balkan Congress of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (ENT-HNS), Aga believes that such events enable healthcare professionals to become familiar with new technologies and the latest scientific advances in head and neck surgery.

The ENT specialist from Albania, Alfred Aga, also highlighted that conditions in both Kosovo and Albania are continuously improving, both in terms of hospital infrastructure and the ongoing professional development of doctors.

“This is very important because we get acquainted with new technologies, we learn about the latest developments in the field of head and neck surgery. Although in our daily practice we already work with the latest technology, there are always new developments that these congresses help us learn from and advance through one another. I can say that conditions in Kosovo and Albania are improving day by day; hospital infrastructure and doctors’ continuous training are at a European level. There is still work to be done, but we are on the right path,” Aga stated.

According to Aga, the biggest beneficiaries of these congresses are young specialists, who not only gain knowledge from experienced surgeons but also build professional connections with colleagues from various health institutions around the world.

The 14th Balkan Congress of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (ENT-HNS), one of the most important medical scientific events in the region, is being held in Prishtina.

The congress is organized by the Association of Otorhinolaryngologists and Head and Neck Surgeons of Kosovo, in cooperation with local and international partners.
