Kurti and Haxhiu pay tribute in Prekaz on Liberation Day: “There is no June 12 without March 19"
On the occasion of Kosovo Liberation Day, Acting President Albulena Haxhiu and Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti paid tribute at the Memorial Complex in Prekaz.
Haxhiu stated that there is no June 12 without the March 1998 events, and no June 12 without the resistance of legendary commander Adem Jashari, Hamza, Shaban, and over 50 members of the Jashari family who fell without ever surrendering.
Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that this year as well, on June 12, they are in Prekaz as heads of institutions, describing it as the capital of the modern-day uprising of the Albanian people and the place of the epic of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
Kurti added that by returning to Prekaz and commemorating the sacrifice of the Jashari family, they best remain faithful to liberation, emancipation, independence, unity, development, and progress.
