Our judoka, Distria Krasniqi, has won the gold medal at the European Judo Championship for Seniors, which is being held in Zagreb, Croatia. In the category up to 52 kilograms, Distria defeated the Italian judoka, Odette Giuffrida, in the final, KosovaPress reports. On the way to the gold medal, Krasniqi in the first round received a bye, whereas in the second round she defeated the Ukrainian judoka, Anna Borodina. Distria continued with a victory in the quarterfinals against Croatian judoka, Ana Viktorija Puljiz. In the semi-finals, Krasniqi faced the Spanish judoka, Ariane Toro Soler, where she also scored a victory only to advance to the finals, where she then defeated the Italian judoka, Odette Giuffrida.
