After 16 days of competition, the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games concluded with a spectacular ceremony held at the Arena di Verona.

The closing ceremony was officially declared closed by the President of the International Olympic Committee, Kirsty Coventry, who addressed the athletes with the words: “You were brave, fearless, full of heart and passion.”

At the closing ceremony, Kosovo’s flag was carried by skier Drin Kokaj, who competed in the slalom discipline in alpine skiing.

In the overall medal standings, Norway ranked first with 41 medals, followed by the United States of America with 33 medals and Italy with 20 medals.

The next Winter Olympic Games will be held in the French Alps in 2030.
