During a meeting of the Municipal Assembly of North Mitrovica, a debate erupted involving the Deputy Chairwoman of the Municipal Assembly, Aida Ferati-Doli, after her speaking time was interrupted by the assembly chair, Ivan Zaporozhak.
During her remarks, Ferati-Doli said that the Municipal Assembly had not held a meeting for two months, criticizing the lack of session organization at a time when, according to her, there are issues and work that need to be addressed.
She added that Albanian workers are being repeatedly summoned by the mayor and deputy mayor of the municipality, while also raising concerns about some of them being dismissed from their jobs despite having completed six months of employment.
“Also, last month there was an extremely high level of interest from the mayor and deputy mayor to question Albanian workers, to tell them how and what you evaluate them for, and these workers were dismissed even though they had completed six months, during which you told them that you did not have working materials. The municipality provides working materials. No, no, it is not okay to interrupt my speech. You are not holding sessions, that is why meetings are being held after two months. You cannot interrupt my speech, I will say what I want; at least do not interrupt my speech. You are not sending us materials, but at least do not interrupt our speech,” Ferati-Doli said.
