Kosovo Police have arrested a suspect during an operation carried out at three locations in Leposaviq and Vushtrri, where weapons, ammunition and other items were seized.

According to the 24-hour police report, the operation was conducted on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., following the receipt of several pieces of information. During searches at three properties belonging to the suspect, in the village of Krajkovë in Leposaviq and the village of Prelluzhë in Vushtrri, police found and confiscated an AK-47 automatic rifle with 30 rounds of ammunition, two smoke grenades, a gas pistol, and a flag bearing the inscription “Kosovo je Serbia,” KosovaPress reports.

The male Kosovo citizen suspect was arrested and interviewed by investigators.

“Following several pieces of information received, police units, during searches at three different locations belonging to the male Kosovo citizen suspect, found and confiscated: an AK-47 automatic weapon with 30 rounds of ammunition, two smoke grenades, a gas pistol, and a flag with the inscription ‘Kosovo je Serbia’. The suspect was arrested and, after being interviewed, was released on the prosecutor’s decision under regular procedure,” the police report states.

By decision of the prosecutor, the suspect was released under regular procedure, while the case was initiated for the criminal offense of “Unauthorized possession, control or ownership of weapons,” and the investigation is ongoing.
