The number of visitors in Kosovo’s hotels increased in May 2026 compared to the same period last year.

According to data published by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS), a total of 69,081 visitors were recorded in hotels during May, including 25,026 domestic visitors and 44,055 foreign visitors, KosovaPress reports.

Compared to May 2025, when 61,931 visitors were registered, the total number of hotel guests increased by 11.5%.

KAS reported that a total of 155,599 overnight stays were recorded during this period. Of these, 88,957, or 57.2%, were generated by foreign visitors, while 66,642 overnight stays, or 42.8%, were by domestic visitors.

The number of foreign tourists increased by 18.1% compared to May 2025. In total, 44,055 foreign visitors stayed in Kosovo’s hotels during May, with the largest number coming from Albania, Germany, Türkiye, and Switzerland.
