The burning of garbage at night is causing problems for the residents of Kodra e Trimave in the capital, and they are even forced to remove their children from kindergarten.

According to the residents, unknown persons every night burn garbage that they throw away during the day.

A resident of the neighborhood, on condition of anonymity, told KosovaPress that for a week in a row, unknown persons every night at 9:00 p.m. set fire to the garbage they throw away during the day.

Because of this polluted air and bad smell, three families in this neighborhood were forced to remove their children from kindergarten, she announced.

She has confirmed that the Kosovo Police have also been notified, who have visited the scene, but they have not taken any measures.

The resident asks the institutions to take measures regarding this disturbing problem.

"We have had a problem for almost a week with air pollution, due to the burning of garbage in the Kodra e Trimave neighborhood, precisely the location of the fire department. We have also notified the police. They came three times and no action was taken. Every night at 9:00 p.m., they light the garbage they throw away during the day. It's getting very smoky, like fog. It is impossible to open doors or windows for ventilation. We, three families, were forced to remove children from kindergarten because of the garbage on the main road and the very bad smell", said the resident.
