The Basic Court in Pristina has found former Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) procurement chief Ymer Dragusha guilty of four criminal offenses of abuse of official position or authority committed in co-perpetration, sentencing him to a single two-year prison term.

According to the verdict announced today, Dragusha was sentenced to one year in prison for the first count of the indictment, while for the other three counts he received eight months of imprisonment for each offense.

“Based on Article 76 of the Criminal Code, the court imposes on the defendant a single prison sentence of two (2) years, which shall be executed within 15 days from the day this verdict becomes final,” it was stated during the announcement of the judgment.

The court also instructed the State Advocacy Office to pursue the property claim through regular civil proceedings.

Under the verdict, Dragusha is also obliged to cover criminal procedure costs, including €100 for the court fee and €100 for the Crime Victim Compensation Fund.

Ymer Dragusha had reached a plea agreement with the Special Prosecutor’s Office, which was approved by the court at the hearing held on February 7, 2025.
