Two workers were injured yesterday at a workplace in the village of Cerajë, in the municipality of Leposaviq.

Two workers were injured yesterday at a workplace in the village of Cerajë, in the municipality of Leposavic.

The case was confirmed to KosovaPress by the regional operations chief in North Mitrovica, Petrit Fejza, who said police were notified at around 14:15, and that the workers were injured while working on the electricity network.

“At around 14:15 we were notified about the case. Relevant police units and the labour inspectorate went to the scene. They were injured while working on the electricity network,” Fejza stated.

The injured were first taken to the Health House in Leposavic, and later transferred to the Regional Hospital in Mitrovica.

The spokesperson of the Regional Hospital in Mitrovica “Dr Sami Haxhibeqiri,” Shpend Fazliu, confirmed to KosovaPress that the injured arrived at around 15:10.

“Yesterday, at 15:10, two injured persons from the village of Cerajë were admitted with serious injuries. After emergency examinations and a CT scan, they were referred to UCCK,” Fazliu said.
