Two people have been arrested in two separate cases in the Peja region on suspicion of the criminal offense “Unauthorized ownership, control, or possession of weapons,” KosovaPress reports.

The Kosovo Police said the first case occurred on Tuesday at around 18:50 on “Konferenca e Bujanit” street in Peja.

According to police, during a patrol, officers stopped a suspect, and after searching his shoulder bag they found and seized a pistol, a magazine, and 17 rounds of 9x19 mm ammunition.

The second case was recorded the same evening at around 22:50 in the village of Banjë in Istog.

Police stated that during a checkpoint, a vehicle was stopped and a search of the trunk uncovered a pistol with a magazine, seven rounds of ammunition, and one OC spray.

Both suspects were arrested and interviewed, and by decision of the state prosecutor they were released into regular procedure.

From both cases, police confiscated a total of two pistols, two magazines, 24 rounds of ammunition, and one OC spray.
