The U.S. Embassy says Brendan Hanrahan’s meetings with political leaders were constructive
Senior U.S. State Department official Brendan Hanrahan spent the weekend in Kosovo.
The U.S. Embassy described Hanrahan’s meetings with the country’s political leaders as constructive.
“It was a pleasure to welcome senior Bureau official Brendan Hanrahan #StateEUR to Kosovo this weekend. His visit included constructive meetings with government officials, opposition leaders, and the business community, as well as visits to Camp Film City and Camp Nothing Hill to advance U.S. efforts toward stability and economic prosperity. He also found time to tour the beautiful and historic UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Gracanica Monastery. Enjoy some photos from the visit!” the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo wrote in a Facebook post.
Hanrahan stayed in Kosovo over the weekend and hosted the country’s political leaders at the U.S. Embassy, KosovaPress reports.
Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti was the first to meet with Hanrahan, accompanied by acting ministers Artane Rizvanolli and Nenad Rashiq.
Following his meeting with Kurti, Hanrahan also received AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj, PDK head Memli Krasniqi, and LDK MP Hykmete Bajrami. He also held talks with representatives of the Serb List.
During their meetings with Hanrahan, political leaders reaffirmed their friendship with the United States and the importance of economic and diplomatic cooperation between the two countries.
