The Special Prosecutor's Office (SPO) is conducting investigations regarding one of the most terrible massacres committed against Albanians during the war in Kosovo, the one in Dubrava, and so far an indictment has been filed and there are 40 other defendants.

The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, on the 25th anniversary of the massacre in the prison of Dubrava, has said that the justice institutions in the country will be committed to the maximum to bring the perpetrators of this massacre to justice.

One of the survivors of the massacre, Njazi Kryeziu, says that the moments of horror experienced are still fresh.

Former MP Daut Haradinaj has described the massacre in Dubrava as one of the worst by the Serbian regime against the Albanian people.

The survivor of the Dubrava massacre, Nait Hasani, has said that the perpetrators of the crime committed against innocent Albanians must face justice.

The massacre in Dubrava Prison was carried out from May 19-24, 1999. Inside the Dubrava prison there is a memorial plaque with the names of those killed in this massacre, which is considered one of the biggest massacres of the Serbian regime committed against Albanians.
