The Basic Prosecution Office in Ferizaj has filed the first indictment related to the elections of 28 December 2025, for the criminal offense of “Destruction of voting documents,” as provided for under Article 217, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to the indictment, on 28 December 2025, at a polling station in the town of Shtime, the defendant identified by the initials M.A. damaged voting documents related to the elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
“The State Prosecutor informs the public that all potential cases related to the electoral process of 28 December 2025 will be treated with priority and in full compliance with the law, with the aim of protecting the integrity of the electoral process and the rule of law,” the statement says.
