In an extraordinary press conference held in front of the Government building, the Executive Director of the Chamber of Trade and Industry Kosova, Kushtrim Ahmeti, stated that the process continues to be marred by violations.
“We are facing not only warnings but also direct threats from KEK regarding the electricity supply, as it is now sending threatening notices to all businesses, stating that it will cut off their electricity on the 30th of this month. Not a single business has received any invoice so far for the electricity consumed during the months of June and July. This is yet another fact that proves the entire process of electricity market liberalization in Kosovo has been and continues to be marred by numerous violations,” he said.
According to ERO, all consumers currently receiving electricity from KEK as the Supplier of Last Resort will see this guaranteed supply period end on July 30, 2025, for those who began receiving this service on June 1, 2025.
The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) also announced a few days ago that July 30 is the final date on which it will supply electricity to all consumers who have not yet found a supplier in the open market.
