The candidate for mayor of Mitrovica from the PDK (Democratic Party of Kosovo), Arian Tahiri, has exercised his right to vote.

Together with his wife, Tahiri voted at the “Trepça” school, reports Klankosova.tv.

“It’s a beautiful day for the city of Mitrovica and its citizens — a calm day when people, in a peaceful and democratic manner, decide on the governance for the 2025–2029 term. I’m pleased to see a high level of culture, respect, restraint, and civic spirit among the people of Mitrovica, and I’m optimistic that this will be a beautiful day,” said Tahiri, adding that all reports so far indicate that everything is going smoothly.

Tahiri was asked about the statement made by the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, who referred to him as a “spare tire” of the PDK, to which he answered:

“I just wish for today to continue peacefully and beautifully, just as it has so far. I’m optimistic that it’s going to be a very beautiful day,” he said.

In this municipality, 84,695 citizens are eligible to vote.
