Skanderbeg’s great-grandson honored with certificate of appreciation by the municipality of Malisheva

Loris Kastrioti, the great-grandson of national hero Gjergj Kastrioti – Skanderbeg, was honored today with a certificate of appreciation by the Municipality of Malisheva. The mayor of this municipality, Ekrem Kastrati, received Kastrioti in a meeting and awarded him an institutional token of appreciation in recognition of the historical legacy of his family.

"In recognition and with institutional appreciation for the historical role and contribution of Gjergj Kastrioti – Skanderbeg and his family in the defense of Albania and the national values of the Albanian people," the certificate reads.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Municipality of Malisheva, as well as Qëndrim Kryeziu, owner of the Kryeziu Corporation, who had welcomed Loris Kastrioti a day earlier at the “Adem Jashari” International Airport, TV Malisheva has reported, according to KosovaPress.

Kryeziu is also the co-organizer of the event to be held on May 6 in Prishtina, dedicated to the birthday of the Albanian national hero.
