Zejnullah Gashi proposed to Kosovo Justice Minister Haxhiu for Chief State Prosecutor position

The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, with five votes in favor, has proposed Zejnullah Gashi for Chief State Prosecutor.

In the secret ballot held today, Zejnullah Gashi received the most votes, five in total, while the other candidate, Rafet Halimi, received one vote, and the other candidates received no votes.

“From the vote count, it results that the candidate who received the simple majority of votes, five votes in total, is Zejnullah Gashi, while Rafet Halimi received one vote and the other candidates received no votes. I conclude that the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, after the secret ballot, with five votes in favor, nominates Zejnullah Gashi for Chief State Prosecutor. The same candidate is proposed to the President of Kosovo for the appointment of the Chief State Prosecutor,” said chairperson Arian Gashi, as reported by KosovaPress.

The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council held the interviews of five candidates for Chief State Prosecutor on July 1 of this year.

According to the interview results, Pristina Chief Prosecutor Zejnullah Gashi received the highest score with 91.6 points, while Atdhe Dema was assessed with 89.3 points, Naim Abazi with 89 points, Rafet Halimi with 87 points, and Shqipdon Fazliu with 86.3 points.
