In the second round of the mayoral elections, expected to be held on November 9, the Central Election Commission (CEC) will update the voter list in those municipalities where the second round of elections will take place, as reported by KosovaPress.
The update of the data will be limited only to the inclusion of persons who turn 18 after the first round of elections and up to November 9, as well as the removal from the list of deceased persons and those who have renounced Kosovo citizenship.
“In the second round of the elections, the same voter list used in the first round will be used, with some limited updates. Specifically, this list will be supplemented with persons who reach voting age from October 13 until November 9. Also, persons who have renounced Kosovo citizenship or who have passed away during this period will be removed from the list. Beyond these changes, no other updates will be reflected on this list,” Elezi explained.
Elezi clarified that internal movements of citizens between municipalities will not be included in the voter list.So far, according to preliminary results, the second round of elections will be organized in 18 municipalities. According to the data from the first round, the number of citizens with the right to vote in the polling stations of these municipalities was 1,316,129 voters.
