The Speaker of the Assembly, Vjosa Osmani, has demanded greater coordination between Kosovo and Albania in foreign policy, while she has asked the Albanian state to speak out against the ideas for the exchange of territories.

After the meeting with the chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, in a joint press conference, Osmani showed the necessity of coordination between the two Albanian countries.

Osmani: It is necessary for Kosovo and Albania to coordinate their actions in many aspects.

"It is necessary for Kosovo and Albania to coordinate their actions in many aspects. There is so much room for improvement in our bilateral relations, both in economic and trade terms, but above all what we discussed was coordination regarding our international relations with other countries. "A coordination in foreign policy between Kosovo and Albania has always been successful when it has been sincere and in full line of interest of our citizens", said Osmani.

While she congratulated Basha and the DP for opposing ideas for the exchange of territories.

Osmani: It is extremely necessary for everyone in Albania to speak equally clearly against such ideas.

"It is extremely necessary for everyone in Albania to speak with an equally clear voice against such ideas that go against the interest of Kosovo, there’s been many years of sacrifice of the people of Kosovo to live in a sovereign and independent state," said Osmani.

The leader of the Albanian opposition, Basha, said that the dialogue with Serbia is the way to move forward, but according to him only with mutual recognition between the two states.

Basha also called all the citizens of Kosovo to go to the beautiful beaches of Albania. /KosovaPess/
