Obiliq mayor Halil Thaci has been interviewed by Kosovo's Special Prosecution regarding expropriations in the villages of Shipitullë and Hade, saying he was questioned as a witness.
According to Thaci, the issue was prepared by his political rivals.
“This is an issue prepared long ago by my political rivals. They have involved me in the expropriations in Shipitullë. I am pleased that the prosecution has started dealing with this matter, and I call on it to investigate it to the end. It is true that I have spoken with citizens, and I continue to raise their concerns. The residents of Shipitullë and Hade are discriminated against, and their living conditions there are certainly impossible. Therefore, both while I was a member of the Assembly and today as mayor, I assure citizens that I will always be their guardian in protecting their rights,” he told the media after the interview.He said he was interviewed by the Special Prosecution as a witness.
“As a witness, I was asked about everything, and for anything I know, I will respond to the prosecutor,” Thaci said.
