In the KFOR camp in Pristina, the KFOR command hand over ceremony was held today, where Major General of the Hungarian Army, Ferenc Kajari handed over the command of KFOR to Major General of the Italian Army, Angelo Michele Ristuccia.

Local institutional leaders such as the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani and the Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, as well as international representatives and diplomats, were present at this ceremony.

Expressing gratitude for NATO's presence in Kosovo, President Vjosa Osmani said that KFOR, with its presence in Kosovo since June 1999, brought peace, stability and hope for a brighter future.

The Supreme Commander during this KFOR command hand over ceremony said that Kosovo continues to be threatened by its neighbor and the war in Ukraine.

But, as she said, Kosovo is not vulnerable to these threats thanks to the peacekeeping troops and security institutions in the country.
