In the framework of the Law on Economic Recovery, it was foreseen to reduce the VAT rate from 18 to 8 percent for hotels and gastronomy during 2021, but the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati said today that from January 1, this rate will return to 18 percent.

"The VAT reduced from 18 to 8 percent has been foreseen from the beginning to be in force from January 1, 2021 until December 31, 2021, and is expiring. From January 1 next year, it will return to the level it was, i.e., 18 percent", he said...
