Fatos Geci approaches Vlora Citaku, she ignores him following insulting remarks
MP of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Fatos Geci, attempted to speak before today’s session of the Assembly of Kosovo with the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Vlora Citaku. However, she turned her back on him.
He approached Citaku’s seat, but she appeared to ignore him and did not wish to engage in conversation.
The incident comes after, on Tuesday, Geci used derogatory language toward Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Vlora Citaku during a parliamentary session on electricity.
While being criticized for a statement in which he said he hoped former President Hashim Thaçi would be sentenced in The Hague similarly to Naim Murseli with a life sentence, he addressed Citaku with offensive remarks.
“You’ve turned 100 years old, you’ve remained unmarried. You’re a bad woman,” he was heard saying to MP Citaku.
Geci’s statement was widely condemned in public opinion, and even distanced from by MPs of the Vetëvendosje Movement, as well as the Prime Minister.
