The Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) has set new heating tariffs for consumers of public utility companies in Pristina and Gjakova for the 2025/2026 heating season. In today’s meeting, the ERO decided to reduce tariffs by four percent for Termokos in Pristina and by five percent for the public utility company in Gjakova.
The Chairman of the ERO Board, Ymer Fejzullahu, said that the reduction in these public companies applies only to consumers billed based on metering. According to him, the reduction is due to savings achieved in the previous season.
“In this year’s proposal, the maximum allowed revenues for NQ Gjakova and NQ Termokos will result as follows: for Termokos, we have a tariff reduction of around 4 percent, and for NQ Gjakova by 5 percent. It should be emphasized that this applies only to metered consumers, as we have considered that there were savings in this category, and as a result of these savings, the tariffs of these two companies for 2025–2026 are adjusted accordingly. We call on all consumers to note that the ERO will always reflect any sector savings in the following year,” he said.During the meeting, Astrit Haraqini stated that the tariff for consumers in the capital will be €0.73 per month for metered consumers, while for consumers billed based on square meters, it will be €0.76 per month.
Astrit Saraqini from the ERO said that according to Termokos’ planning, 70 percent of the heating area is planned to be billed based on metering in Pristina. “For this season, the city heating plans of Termokos foresee that 70 percent of the heating area will be billed based on metering. Last year it was also applied, but to a smaller extent, and after some improvements and fairer billing, around 70 percent of the heating area is planned to be billed based on metering. This has slightly changed the allocation of allowed revenues, which we usually allocate between metered consumers and those billed without metering based on square meters. Allocation is done according to the projected energy consumption. The allocation is €7,834,000 for metered tariffs and €3,628,000 for non-metered tariffs based on heating area. The metered tariff for supplied energy is €33.65, while the fixed capacity component is €0.73 per kilowatt per month. Non-metered tariffs based on heating area are €0.76 per square meter and €0.95 per square meter for commercial consumers,” he said.Meanwhile, the monthly heating tariff for residents of Gjakova will be €0.72 per kilowatt per month.
