Data from Kosovo's foreign trade of goods show a trade deficit of 17.1 percent in June 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, amounting to 498.3 million euros, compared to a deficit of 425.4 million euros in 2024. Exports cover imports by 13.9 percent. According to the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, goods exports in June 2025 were valued at 80.4 million euros, while imports amounted to 578.7 million euros, representing an increase of 9.5 percent in exports and 16.0 percent in imports compared to the same period in 2024. According to data on the main export groups: 21.4% consist of base metals and articles made of them; 13.0% prepared food; 12.5% plastics, rubber and articles thereof; 9.8% various manufactured articles; beverages and tobacco; 6.7% mineral products, etc. Meanwhile, according to data on the main import groups: 14.0% are mineral products; 13.2% machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment; 13.0% prepared food, beverages and tobacco; 12.3% transport equipment; 8.6% base metals and articles made of them; etc. Kosovo’s exports to EU countries reached 27.6 million euros, or about 34.4% of total exports, with a growth of 10.7%. The main partners for exports to the EU were: Germany 9.4%, Italy 3.3%, the Netherlands 3.2%, etc. Kosovo’s imports from EU countries were around 249.6 million euros, or 43.1% of total imports, with an increase of 9.2%. The highest shares in imports were from: Germany (14.2%), Poland (5.2%), Italy (4.7%), etc. Meanwhile, Kosovo’s exports to CEFTA countries reached 36.9 million euros, or 45.9% of total exports, with an increase of 12.2%. The main export partners within CEFTA were: Albania (16.9%), North Macedonia (15.5%), Montenegro (6.3%), Serbia (5.7%). Imports from CEFTA countries reached 82.7 million euros, or 14.3% of total imports, with an increase of 28.1%. The countries with the highest import shares were: North Macedonia (5.1%), Albania (4.8%), Serbia (3.4%), according to the ASK report. Kosovo’s exports to other countries of the world reached 15.9 million euros, or 19.8%. The most important partners from these countries for exports were: Switzerland (11.3%) and Turkey (2.9%). Kosovo’s imports from other countries of the world reached 246.4 million euros, or 42.6%. The countries with the highest shares for imports in this group were: China (13.1%) and Turkey (12.6%).
