After the elections, President of Albania calls for institutional compromise and stability in Kosovo

The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, has congratulated the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, on the result achieved in the parliamentary elections in Kosovo.

In a reaction on social media, Begaj praised the citizens of Kosovo for conducting a calm, orderly, and democratic electoral process, stating that the elections once again demonstrated the strength of the country’s institutions and its democratic culture.

“Congratulations to Albin Kurti on the result achieved in the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Kosovo,” the Albanian president wrote.

Begaj stressed that at this stage it is important for all political forces to engage responsibly and in a constructive spirit to ensure institutional dialogue and compromise, in function of Kosovo’s stability and further development.

He underlined that political and institutional cooperation is essential for fulfilling the aspirations of the citizens of Kosovo and overcoming future challenges.

The President of Albania also reiterated Tirana’s continued support for Kosovo on its Euro-Atlantic and European path.

“Albania will continue to support Kosovo at every step of its Euro-Atlantic and European journey,” Begaj stated.
