The security expert in Kosovo, Agim Musliu, has reacted after the publication of the indictment regarding the terrorist attack at the Ibër-Lepenc canal, saying that the official document reveals Serbia’s efforts to present the case as “staged by Kosovo.”
According to Musliu, while Kosovo’s institutions were working to fully clarify the attack, Serbia had invested “a great deal of energy and effort” to distort the narrative and portray Kosovo as the organizer of the incident.
He emphasizes that the indictment clearly proves that the attack was carried out by Serbian individuals recruited by the Serbian Secret Services, equipped with military weapons and explosives. According to him, the group had also monitored the movements of American KFOR soldiers and had photographed the base of the Special Units of the Kosovo Police.
Musliu highlights that Jovan Viçentijević, a lieutenant of the Serbian Military Secret Service trained in Serbia, in addition to being suspected of involvement in the terrorist attack, is also being investigated for espionage. According to him, Viçentijević had also propagated the creation of a fake organization for the “liberation of Albanian territories,” with the aim of discrediting the KLA and creating international confusion.
In the end, Musliu stresses that Kosovo has done its part, while calling on international partners to correctly interpret the case and not fall prey to Serbian propaganda, understanding “how much Serbia has invested to blame Kosovo.”
While the institutions of Kosovo were clarifying the details of the terrorist attack in Ibër-Lepenc, it is unbelievable how much energy and effort Serbia invested to present the case as if it were “a staging by Kosovo.”
Today, the indictment clearly shows that the attack was carried out by Serbs recruited by the Serbian Secret Services, equipped with military weapons and explosives. Moreover, Jovan Viçentijević, lieutenant of the Serbian Military Secret Service, trained in Serbia, besides the terrorist attack, is also suspected of espionage. He had propagated the creation of an alleged organization for the liberation of Albanian territories, to discredit the KLA.
Serbia’s modus operandi: commit the act, blame the other side, create confusion among the international community, and use Kosovo for propaganda.
And then, the greatest irony: the FBI geological analysis confirmed that the soil samples from the Viçentijević brothers’ boots matched the soil in Ibër-Lepenc!
The Republic of Kosovo has done its part. It remains for our international partners to correctly read this case and no longer fall prey to Serbian propaganda. Let everyone understand how much Serbia has invested to blame Kosovo.
