The planned strike at Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK) is continuing as scheduled. The union has requested that all employees fully respect the strike.
For two consecutive hours, from 11:00 to 13:00, no work activity should take place in any sector of RTK. The union has stated that any pressure, interference, or attempts to boycott the strike must be reported immediately to the official email address. According to the union, the Law on Trade Unions and the Law on Strikes strictly prohibit any form of pressure on workers, and any violations will be reported to law enforcement authorities.
Meanwhile, today at 12:00, a meeting of the Government of Kosovo is expected to take place. If RTK is mentioned during the meeting, it has been requested that the segment concerning the public broadcaster be aired.
The union has reconfirmed that the strike will continue until the budget for RTK is allocated.
The demands of RTK employees for a stable budget have been raised for some time, while the union has repeatedly warned that the lack of funding is affecting the normal functioning of the public broadcaster. In recent months, negotiations with the responsible institutions have not produced concrete results, prompting the union to take strike measures.
