Operation “Delivery” arrests five dangerous individuals, who escaped from police like in the movies

Five people were arrested on Wednesday by investigators from the Directorate for the Investigation of Narcotics Trafficking in the Prishtina region, in an operation codenamed “Delivery.” Four of them were caught for drug trafficking and one for cybercrime.

The arrests unfolded in a scene described as something out of a movie, as the suspects initially managed to evade police for some time, driving at high speed and endangering traffic safety.

The investigation leading to their arrest first identified two suspects involved in the distribution of marijuana and cocaine in Prishtina.

“On 25.03.2026, at around 14:00, an operational tactical plan was implemented, during which the suspects were located at the exit of the Veternik highway, moving in a Golf 8 vehicle with local license plates. Upon noticing the presence of the police, they attempted to flee at high speed, seriously endangering road safety,” a police statement reads, reported by KosovaPress.

“During the pursuit, the suspects drove towards Fushë-Kosova, then towards Podujeva, and later returned to the Prishtina–Mitrovica highway. The chase ended at the entrance of Vushtrri, where police units managed to stop and arrest the suspects.”

During the search, police found and seized over 2.2 kilograms of marijuana, as well as another quantity of over 1.1 kilograms that is suspected to have been thrown away by the suspects during the escape in the village of Raskovë in Obiliq.

Later, raids were conducted at four different locations in Prishtina, where, among other things, 4,045 euros, 40 pounds, and 40 Swiss francs were also seized.

In addition, another vehicle used by the suspects was searched, where 25 bags containing suspected cocaine with a total weight of 11.9 grams were found.

During the operation, a space adapted as a “call center” was also discovered, where five laptops were seized. In connection with this case, investigations were also expanded into cybercrime, leading to the arrest of another person, bringing the total number of arrested individuals to five.

By order of the on-duty prosecutor, the suspects were placed in 48-hour detention, while the case is being investigated by the anti-narcotics unit in Prishtina, in cooperation with the competent Prosecutor’s Office. /KosovaPress/
