The Kosovo Assembly has failed to constitute itself even on the 26th attempt. The next session was scheduled for tomorrow, June 5th, at 11:00 AM.
Since the start of the constitutive session on April 15th, deputies have been meeting every other day. This time, after the session chairman, Avni Dehari, consulted with political parties, it was decided that the next continuation of the session will take place tomorrow.
Friday is an official holiday in Kosovo – Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bajram).
This is the first time deputies will meet two days in a row in an effort to constitute the ninth legislature.
The continuation of today’s session proceeded as usual. The session chairman, Avni Dehari, a deputy from the Vetëvendosje Movement, again requested a secret vote for the speaker of the parliament, but this was not supported by the other parliamentary parties.
“53 deputies have voted, one against, no abstentions, we don’t have a quorum, the session is suspended, we will meet again on June 5th at 11:00,” said Dehari. /KosovaPress
