Kosovo’s Islamic Community announces the time of the Eid al-Adha prayer

The Presidency of the Islamic Community of Kosovo has announced that on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Muslim believers will celebrate Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bajram), while the main ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4:25 a.m., and the Eid prayer at 5:40 a.m.

According to the BIK Presidency, the Eid prayer will be led by Mustafë Dallku, while the Eid message (sermon) will be delivered by the Mufti of Kosovo, Naim Tërnava, according to the announcement transmitted by KosovaPress.

“The Presidency of the Islamic Community of Kosovo informs believers and the general public that the first day of the Kurban Bajram holiday is Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

The central ceremony for the territory of Kosovo, dedicated to the Kurban Bajram holiday, will be held at the Grand Mosque in Pristina.

The ceremony begins at 4:25 a.m. with the dawn prayer (sabah), followed by a thematic lecture dedicated to this holiday, which will be delivered by Arbnor ef. Sinani – Chief Imam of the Islamic Community Council in Skenderaj.

The Eid al-Adha prayer will be performed at 5:40 a.m., led by Mustafë ef. Dallku, while the Eid sermon (khutbah) will be delivered by the Mufti of Kosovo, Naim ef. Tërnava.

On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, on the first day, May 27, 2026, the BIK Presidency will, as usual, organize a reception at its headquarters from 9:00 to 12:00.

The Presidency of the Islamic Community of Kosovo extends its congratulations to all believers and the general public on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, praying to God to accept our pilgrimage (Hajj), sacrifices, prayers, and worship.
