Energy future: CIGRE opens the doors of innovation in Pristina

The Third Conference of the National Committee of “CIGRE Kosovo” began today in Pristina, with the participation of representatives from state institutions, including the Acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, energy operators, the academic community, and international experts in the energy sector.

At the opening of the conference, the importance of a just energy transition and the need to modernize the country’s electricity grid in accordance with European standards were emphasized. Government and energy institution representatives highlighted that cooperation between the public, private, and academic sectors remains a key factor for the sustainable development of Kosovo’s energy system.

The conference, which will run until October 24, includes scientific and technical presentations, thematic discussions on the integration of renewable energy sources, as well as exhibitions of new technologies in the energy field. During the three days of the event, around 50 professional papers from Kosovo and the region are expected to be presented.

This activity aims to exchange experiences and strengthen international cooperation in the development of modern electrical systems.
