Thirty-three participants have been certified at the University of Pristina as part of the “Job Placement Counselling” training program, which was conducted from April 20 to July 3 this year.
The program aims to advance the process of career guidance, counselling and employment placement, as well as improve access to the labor market.
The Rector of the University of Pristina, Arben Hajrullahu, said that the completion of the program represents an important step toward creating a more sustainable system of career guidance and supporting young people in their transition from education to employment.
“We are not only marking the completion of a training program, but also an important step toward building a more sustainable system of career guidance, career counselling and support for young people in their transition from education to employment. In this regard, career counselling and employment placement are essential to our mission. The program has focused on developing the competencies of employment counsellors, their ability to guide individuals, understand their needs, inform them about their rights and responsibilities, support them in decision-making and help them build clear pathways to the labor market,” Hajrullahu said.
Acting Minister of Labor and Family, Andin Hoti, said that investing in professionals who help citizens find employment is also an investment in Kosovo’s economic development.
Meanwhile, GIZ Project Manager Mario Eckardt said that the certification represents more than just the completion of a training program, emphasizing the importance of modern employment counsellors in the labor market.
The program aims to strengthen the link between educational institutions, employment services and the needs of the labor market.
