The Islamic Community of Kosovo (BIK) has announced that the central event for the celebration of Eid al-Fitr in the Republic of Kosovo will be held at the Great Mosque.
According to BIK’s announcement, the festive program will begin at 05:03 a.m. with the Fajr prayer, after which a thematic lecture dedicated to this holiday will be delivered by the chief imam of the Council of the Islamic Community in Ferizaj, Ibrahim Beqiri.
The Eid al-Fitr prayer will be held at 06:18 a.m. and will be led by the chief imam of the Islamic Community of Kosovo, Vedat Sahiti.
The Eid al-Fitr sermon (Khutbah) will be delivered by the Mufti of Kosovo, Naim Tërnava, who is expected to address the public with the traditional message of this holiday.
Additionally, on the first day of the celebration, March 20, 2026, BIK’s leadership will host the traditional greeting reception at its headquarters, from 09:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
At the end of the announcement, the Islamic Community of Kosovo extends Eid al-Fitr greetings to all believers, praying that fasting, prayers, and acts of worship are accepted.
