“We expect the meeting to take place today…” Izmaku: The only alternative is NISMA
NISMA MP Xhevahire Izmaku, speaking ahead of the 49th attempt to constitute the Assembly of Kosovo, stated that currently, the only viable alternative to overcome the political deadlock is NISMA.
Izmaku said that a meeting between NISMA chairman Fatmir Limaj and acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti is expected to take place today. She called for political courage and will from Kurti, especially given the nearing constitutional deadline.
According to her, this is not a demand, but rather the best opportunity being offered to the country in the current political situation.
Earlier today, the 49th attempt to constitute the ninth legislature of the Assembly of Kosovo also failed. The failure occurred due to the same issue as in previous attempts, the inability to establish the committee for secret ballot voting. Only 50 MPs voted in favor of establishing this committee.
The chairman of the constitutive session of the Assembly of Kosovo, Avni Dehari, emphasized that the continuation of the next session will be held on Monday at 11:00. /A. Shala/
