Wanted for murder, Montenegrin citizen extradited from Germany to Kosovo

A Montenegrin citizen wanted by Kosovo authorities for the criminal offense of “aggravated murder” has been extradited from Germany to Kosovo.

The Kosovo Police announced that the extradition was carried out on May 21, 2026, by the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, in coordination with relevant police units and justice institutions.

According to the Police, the suspect had been arrested by German authorities after being subject to an international arrest warrant issued through INTERPOL by Kosovo’s justice institutions. He is suspected of the criminal offense of “aggravated murder” and had been on the run to evade justice.

After the extradition to Kosovo, the suspect was handed over to the relevant police units for the continuation of legal proceedings.

The Kosovo Police emphasized that cooperation with international institutions will continue in the effort to combat crime and to trace and arrest wanted persons both inside and outside the country.
