Veterans and representatives of associations formed from the Kosovo Liberation Army paid homage at the “Adem Jashari” Memorial Complex in Prekaz.

The Chairman of the OVL-KLA, Hysni Gucati, stated that these November celebrations are incomplete without the leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army. After the homage, he told the media that he hopes next year they will celebrate together with them.

“We wish you happy November holidays, the four celebrations that take place this month: the 1944 holiday of raising the flag in Kruja by Skanderbeg, the declaration of Albania’s independence in 1912, the birthday of the legendary Commander Adem Jashari in 1955, and the public emergence of the Kosovo Liberation Army. Once again, we wish all citizens of Kosovo, the families of martyrs, the disabled, and veterans these November celebrations. These holidays are incomplete because we have the leaders of the KLA unjustly held by a court, but this happened to us, and we hope and believe that next year we will celebrate these holidays together with them,” Gucati declared.

At the “Adem Jashari” Memorial Complex in Prekaz rest the bodies of the Jashari family, killed on March 5, 6, and 7, 1998.

November 28 marks the public emergence of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Albania’s independence, and the birthday of the legendary Commander Adem Jashari.
