A bus driver violated traffic rules in the capital and has been suspended from driving a motor vehicle for a period of three (3) months, KosovaPress reports.

The capture of this violation was made possible thanks to cameras installed in the capital as part of continuous traffic monitoring by the Capital Traffic Unit.

The cameras allowed the police to verify that the driver had repeated the offense twice.

“After verification, it was confirmed that the driver committed the offense for the second time. Therefore, his driver’s license has been confiscated, and he has been suspended from driving a motor vehicle for a period of three (3) months,” the statement reads.

The Kosovo Police urges all vehicle operators, especially public transport drivers, to respect traffic rules and avoid using their phones while driving.

“This poses a serious risk to the lives of passengers and other road users,” the law enforcement agency said.
