Unemployment reaches 44 percent, UITUK demands the increase of the minimum wage

The unemployment rate in the country has risen to over 40 percent. This increase has also occurred as a result of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was said by the chairman of the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo (UITUK), Avni Ajdini, according to whom, the increase in unemployment and social schemes has occurred due to the pandemic, in which case 10 percent of workers of the private sector, have lost their jobs.
