Ukraine asks for immediate EU membership

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is urging the European Union to grant his country "immediate" membership. "Our goal is to be together with all Europeans and, most importantly, to be on an equal footing. I'm sure it 's right. I'm sure it' s possible," he said. President Zelensky and Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov are constantly in communication with European leaders to look at this opportunity. They said that today they talked with their Romanian counterparts about the issue, while expressing their gratitude for the support that this country is giving to Ukraine. President Zelensky today expressed his gratitude to Romania for the support it is giving.
