At the Primary and Lower Secondary School “Pavarësia” in Prishtina, classes did not start as usual today. Teachers are protesting during the first two hours as a response, as they have stated, to delinquent behavior by students in the educational process, including physical violence, insults, verbal abuse, and swearing directed at teachers.

In a public statement, the school’s Trade Union Association said that the protest is being organized in response to delinquent actions by students in the educational process, including physical violence, insults, verbal abuse, and swearing toward teachers.

According to the announcement, after the protest ends, the teaching process will continue normally starting from the third period, in line with the regular school schedule.

The protest has also been supported by the United Education, Science and Culture Union (SBASHK), which has called for an immediate response from the responsible institutions to ensure a safe and respectful environment for teachers.

Meanwhile, authorities have detained for 48 hours a teacher from the “Pavarësia” school who is suspected of having exercised brutal violence against a student on Monday at the school. The student, meanwhile, kicked the teacher.
