The Basic Court in Pristina has found former Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) procurement chief Ymer Dragusha guilty of four criminal offences of abuse of official position or authority in co-perpetration, sentencing him to a single two-year prison term.
The verdict against him was announced by the presiding judge of the panel, Rrahman Beqiri. Dragusha and his defence lawyer were absent during the announcement.
“Based on Article 76 of the Criminal Code, the court imposes on the defendant a unified prison sentence of two (2) years, which shall be executed within 15 days from the day this verdict becomes final,” it was stated during the announcement of the verdict.
The court also instructed the State Attorney’s Office to pursue the property-related claim through regular civil proceedings.Ymer Dragusha had reached a plea agreement with the Special Prosecutor’s Office, which was approved by the court during the hearing held on February 7, 2025.
