Two brothers have been arrested in Pristina on suspicion of physically assaulting police officers during a police intervention.

According to the Kosovo Police, the incident happened yesterday when the two suspects were found fighting and punching each other, KosovaPress reports.

Police said that the suspects refused to comply with officers’ orders and later physically attacked them as well.

As a result of the incident, both the police officers and the two suspects received medical treatment.

“Two suspects (brothers) have been arrested after they were found attacking and punching each other. At the scene, the suspects did not comply with the orders of police officers and physically assaulted and struck the officers as well. Police officers and the suspects received medical treatment,” the Kosovo Police said in its 24-hour report.

By the prosecutor’s decision, the suspects, who were under the influence of alcohol, were placed in detention, while their questioning is expected to take place after they sober up.

The case is under investigation.
