Tourism in Kosovo continues its positive trend, with foreign visitors dominating

The number of visitors to Kosovo during 2025 has increased compared to the previous year (2024), according to data from the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS).

According to the survey on hospitality and tourism, a total of 762,836 domestic and foreign visitors were recorded in 2025. Of these, 39.3 percent were domestic visitors, while 60.7 percent were foreign visitors, reports KosovaPress.

The total number of overnight stays reached 1,653,390. Of this total, 45.4 percent were made by domestic visitors and 54.6 percent by foreign visitors.

KAS reports that the number of domestic visitors increased by 9.1 percent compared to 2024, while their overnight stays rose by 8 percent.

An increase was also recorded among foreign visitors. In 2025, their number rose by 9.4 percent compared to the previous year, reaching 463,092 people. The largest number of foreign tourists came from Albania, Germany, Switzerland, and Turkey.

The data also show that during 2025, 639,945 residents of Kosovo made at least one trip with overnight stays either within the country or abroad.

Meanwhile, according to statistics collected at border points, during January–December 2025, a total of 7,465,625 entries of foreign nationals were recorded in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
