The Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK) today marked the 25th anniversary of its establishment. The organized ceremony highlighted the challenges and achievements of this institution throughout its 25 years of operation. The Director of TAK, Ilir Murtezaj, said that this day is not simply a date on the calendar, but an important reference point that marks a date of dedication, transparency and professionalism in the service of citizens and in the economic development of our country.

Murtezaj emphasized that throughout these 25 years, TAK's journey has been full of challenges, but at the same time, as he said, extraordinary successes have been achieved.

He emphasized that for 25 years, TAK has collected over 8 billion euros in taxes and over 3 billion euros in pension contributions.

“The mission of TAK is to raise the level of voluntary compliance in accordance with the tax legislation in force, as well as to provide professional, transparent and effective services to taxpayers. TAK is obliged by law to ensure uniform implementation of legal provisions for all taxpayers in the same manner. As a result of professional work with integrity and honesty, efficiency and transparency, TAK has collected over 8 billion euros in taxes and over 3 billion euros in pension contributions in these 25 years. In total, we have collected over 11 million euros”, said Murtezaj.
